Thanks for the advice. Will do it once I get all components for my workstation build. Was planning to build a 2x1080ti workstation for deep learning work as well as altcoin mining during idle time. Hope it can survive thru the stress test. Let's see.

Any cheap case/mobo combo for a 4 gpu setup? Want to put in the lab doing some DL and mining while idle. 8 gpu may be just too loud in the lab I guess (may I ask how loud it can go under load?).

I think one pci slot is sufficient for such a tiny unit. Please share here if you find such a compatible rise. BTW, does anyone have any idea how loud this server farm is? Thinking about putting one in the lab if it is not too loud.
