Could be but don't think so. The guy had other stuff for sale such as Cisco SFP modules and StackWise Cables in Cisco packaging so probably someone who has access to left-over stuff in a datacenter.
So very thankful for this thread..!
Managed to buy a card from an EU seller seems legit..embossed chips, TXC logo, wide coolsink, hologram logo checked out would never had noticed this if it wasn't for this thread.
That is good news! But it looks like the H310 is in fact Esxi 7 compatible:

I'm curious about the older LSI cards such as the IBM M1015 for example
Was wondering if anyone has tried running Napp-IT-all-in-one under ESXi 7? (or any ZFS based VM for that matter)
Been reading reports of people saying that popular LSI based cards are not longer working in ESXi.
Since with Napp-it we run in passthrough mode to the VM and we don't need the...
Cheers Gea!
Will do it in this order:
upgrade vm hardware
upgrade nappit to 18.x (and get machineid after upgrade) then no errors about perl hopefully :)
omnios
Hi Gea,
Currently running OmniOS v11 r151022 appliance on esxi 6.5 with VM-Version 8 and Napp-IT v.17.06
Would like to:
- go to the latest omnios update OmniOS 151026 stable (Community Edition)
- upgrade the vm hardware to version 13 (requirement for spectre/meltdown related issues)
- upgrade...
Hi Gea,
Yes I guess you are right, did not notice this in 6.0u2
In 6.5u1 with vcsa appliance the checkmark "Reserve all guest memory (All locked)" is unchecked so could very well be a bug.
VMware and we will have to suffer through this till they get it 100% right with the html5 client..
I still...
I was wondering if omnios has also changed the way it uses memory when going from r151018 - > r151022?
I've been running r151018 under esxi v6u2 (all in one with passtrough VM with 6GB RAM for years with good performance)
Memory usage would always be going up and down depending on what the...
What is your CPUID..?
I also have a v3 ES cpu that gave me a PSOD ONCE! (have not seen it since..)
The circumstances when this happens are unknown (as of yet not mentioned in the KB)
Just a heads up for people running ESXi with ES Cpu's..

Yeah, that is what I mean...I know for a fact that list is incorrect that is why I was wondering if the topicstarter would be so kind to put a sticky in the topic with stuff that people have running or tested for themselves.
We are already pioneering here so why not take it all the way :)
I was wondering if there is a list (other then from the sellers on ebay) of motherboards that actually work with ES v3 and v4 cpu's ..? Would like to see some confirmation from actual people running this hardware at home
Maybe an idea for a sticky with: motherboard brand - Type - BIOS Version -...
Anyone here with any experience with ASRock Rack support when it comes to supporting the ES cpu's ?
Running into an issue with booting an ES cpu from an ASRock board.
If I create a case can I mention that I'm using an ES CPU or will support then close the case immediately?
