well those ES chips did not work for me so i returned them...money was returned asap . I suspect a CPU issue but cant be sure since i dont use any other ES samples, I use retail 2609 v4 Xeons (after a Bios update with a v3) in a 2 node vsphere cluster. Now i just need to find me some 2,5 disk...

having a hard time enabling UEFI boot : did a firmware update (BIOS, raid controller), yet when enabling uefi cant see the drives or usb keys o_O Legacy works without issues

Silviu those ES chips definitely dont work on this system, nor do v4 Xeons just out of the box You need a BIOS update. So far every DDR4 reg ECC stick i tested worked,even if not on the list. Oh and when using EFI, raid can only be configured directly from bios

alright i did switch the cpus a bit, it seams one cpu doesnt even boot the server the other is with errors , i will try to find a retail cpu and test it again

Ok finally menaged to power one of the servers, with errors, need to figure out why the other oesnt

what do you mean ? the error codes ? the issue im having is that the board doesnt start at all, when i press the power on the psu fans spin for a bit and thats it. As if no power to the board hence no error codes

Cant, it doesnt really power on. When i plug in the cables the psu fans spin for a sec, the system shows a green system led and blue sys id, only bouth psu leds are blinking. When i power up, psu fans spin for a sec and no error codes the system doesnt even POST. So i assume non working or non...

did install two of those cpus in one system with two sticks of ram, now im getting a green blinking warn sign when i turn on power the fans spin for a sec and thats it; might also be a ram issue

well i have two of those servers and each does the same, i kinda counted ES would work SIlviu please tell us your results once you receive them

yes, have only two cpus for two systems did try it also without ram and did a bios reset aswell, the psu fans spin a bit and i do get a green warning but after a min or so it stops and psu leds are blinking.Asumed at first i botched the ram/ cpu installation bummer did really hope those cpus...

hmm i just got a couple of Intel Xeon E5 2630L QEYX V3 cpus and two sticks of Samsung M393A2G40DB1-CPb0q ram and cant get the server to post. I get a warning and psu leds blinking Compatibility issue ? any ideas ?

hmm cant find any info, for Intel AXX4PX8HDAIC Internal NVMe most like and those ain't cheap
