    CWWK/Topton/... Nxxx quad NIC router

My two cents for the CWWK i3-N305 version. I've tried CT24G56C46S5 24GB @4800MTs module and works fine after +48h of memtest on the N305 v2. Now I'm trying at 5600MTs (16,8GB/s aparently) and see how it works. About the FAN. The PWM cable came with a weird configuration and fan didn't work. I...

    CWWK/Topton/... Nxxx quad NIC router

Does anyone knows if there is a BIOS option to let the machine boot without any display connected? I'm unable to boot unless something is hooked in the HDMI port. First I thought it was a RAM issue but it just wants a display connected on boot.

Topton Jasper Lake Quad i225V Mini PC Report

Wow, I've got a GF-1338NP-12-V14 and I want to thank you all the contributors to this topic for the information! I'll try with the bios update only (and lowering power limits) since microcode is updated. And see if at last the VM becomes stable. ty again.

Lenovo 930-8i (LSI 9460-8i) to LSI 9460-8i firmware

So did anyone managed to make it work as an "original" broadcom controller in mode 13 (nvme+raid)?

Broadcom 9400 - Can't get it to see NVMe drives on a backplane

Did you manage to run the nvme drives directly from the controller with the U2 cable? (not the backplate) I'm tryting the same with the 9460-16i and I have had no success. The list of "official" compatible cables is: Have you tried with 05-50065-00?

9460-16i and nvme devices: some questions

I recently purchased a 9460-16i to upgrade from my 9750-8i. Its the avago one firm (from mid 2022) driver 7.23. The card is in 13 mode: 64 SAS/SATA drives +4 nvme drives. Personality: RAID. The card detects regular (SATA) drives in all ports. Detects both the RES24 expander and the RES3TV360...

Lenovo 930-8i (LSI 9460-8i) to LSI 9460-8i firmware

A few months ago I had the same question regarding using tri-mode on 9460-8i or 16i. The answer was no: you cannot flash with broadcom/avago firmware a lenovo-branded equivalent raid card. At least to use as a Raid card with nvme, cachevault, tri-mode, etc. They implemented the "software...

RAID upgrade advice (from W2016 LSI 9750-8i to W2019 and 9460-16i with NVME + SATA)

I know this topic is kind of zombie. But I finally fot a 9460-16i. Two of the SFF-8643 will go to regular SATA drivers The third is intended for NVME so I'm looking for the marked or compatible variants of these cables, especially the 8643 to two 8639. the alternative would be to use 8643 ->...

    Doubt about how SFP/SFP+ works

I've been in contact with unifi because of this in the past month. About 8 mails from each side. Escalated twice. No clear answer yet. They aren't signing the mails anymore (with names). As soon as I have a clear official answer I'll publish it here for the record.

    Doubt about how SFP/SFP+ works

The fun part of ubiquiti shop in Europe is customer pays for return costs. Which would be fine IF there wasn't one address for the whole European Union (up North), they also ask for a tracking number. In my case, if I use a trusty courier, returning something usually costs more than the object...

    Doubt about how SFP/SFP+ works

I'm guilty to be trapped in ubiquiti world. In an attempt to improve a segment of my network I bought USW-Enterprise-8-PoE-EU and three SFP+ UACC-CM-RJ45-MG which are 10/5/2.5/1 copper modules. I've been told by the technical service of ubiquiti that those "enterprise" switches don't allow...

    Lenovo 930-8i to Broadcom SAS 9460-8i SAS3508

But do they have any hardware lock to prevent its use on non-lenovo servers? I'm planning to upgrade from an old 3ware LSI 9750-8i in a HP workstation. Is there any drawback from getting the lenovo version instead of the broadcom one? (I asume broadcom support for firmare and software is better...

    Lenovo 930-8i to Broadcom SAS 9460-8i SAS3508

You seem to want to use it in HBA (IT). If you want to use the RAID chip on it, as a hardware raid controller, can you flash/upgrade the firmware from broadcom and use the drivers/interface from Broadcom? SAS3508: RAID 930-8i --> MegaRAID 9460-8i

RAID upgrade advice (from W2016 LSI 9750-8i to W2019 and 9460-16i with NVME + SATA)

In my scheme I set the NVME after the expanders. For the 9460-8i, Can I have the NVME direclty attached to the controller and the HDD to the expander right? I assumed that the cache storage on the 9460 worked as a L2ARC. Right know "write catching" is performed by windows, then the 9750 and I...

RAID upgrade advice (from W2016 LSI 9750-8i to W2019 and 9460-16i with NVME + SATA)

Hi, I've been using a 3ware (LSI) 9750* since W2008R2 (+intel expander) +BBU and has been working rock solid almost 24/7 for more than 10 years. *9750-8i seems to be 9260-8i (SAS 2108). Usage scenario: - I use it to store: run some services, raw data (SMB access), data HDD (vhdx) from 4-5 VM...
