Thank you for the details. The biggest problem was that I never "got it to work" (except under Ubuntu installed for test separately). Win7 x64 here, no BSODs, but the 5152 NICs have constantly been refusing any driver I tried to feed to it. Summary: all that mess was not really worth it. The...

Received the drives HUH728080AL4200 - took about one month. Full-surface scanned, put into arrays. POH~ 15K to 21K Thank you Brandon.

Order placed on Apr 14 was marked up as shipped on May 3, but never picked up since then and shows as "USPS Awaiting Item". Have asked Brandon for help to find out what is going on.

Got contacted by Brandon to get the issues fixed.

Have you received your drives from bitdeals - how long it took and what you ended up with POH, surface scanning, etc?

7120 is absolutely different story - I got one at same time as 5152. The dual port one worked right from the box - recognized in W7, self-updated FW, etc. Also, for some reason the .inf file in the SFN6 folder being referred before DOESN'T contain 5152 at all. Maybe the card is proprietary OEM...

Were you able to make your 5152F work? Got exactly same thing - two single port cards from same ebay seller (different batches) -> 10G link fully working under ubuntu and "device driver cannot start" under Win 7, Win 10, Server 2008 R2.

Confirmed: all "on"

All ECC REG. However, I am recalling that I tried plain regular desktop DDR3 non-ECC (I believe G.Skill 2x8GB 1600) and it did work for sure - just with warning message during POST. Try to check the jumpers "SYS ID" (bottom of the board) - mine all open.

Regarding the CPU and RAM: I've been using X5670 and variety of Kingston, Hynix and Samsung DDR3 (1, 2, 4 and 8GB) and all did work. Have you tested the CPU in another board? Any chances to try the board with another Xeon?

According to the specs those are not compatible (at least the 3D models do not match):

I've been told it will be shipped on after June 27th. In the meantime working out an alternative variant :)
