I plugged a SSD drive into both controllers and cable ends and getting read/write readings identical to the motherboard. I'll move a standalone 3.5" drive next for testing.

Right now just building a home server with 8-16 drives sata 3 drives. But just thinking of future proofing a bit.

Anyone have any experiencing using the Intel RSP3WD080E card as HBA or JBOD? Debating on if I should purchase this or the Lenovo 530-8i.
