Per End of software support for 7050X/X2, 7300X and 7010T series - Arista EOS 4.31.2F won't work on the 7050SX line of switches.
Last supported version train is 4.28.
I to am looking for the latest 4.28 EOS Image for a 7050X switch, if anyone has a link or knows where it can be acquired :)
Edit: It appears that the latest firmware has fallen out of the sky, it's great!
If the chassis ships with an H330, it's almost certainly capable of running SAS drives.
Man I feel like I missed out by buying 2 @ 135 each and not offering lower. Sadly I have to wait until March until I get home and can actually unbox them. From what my Girlfriend told me they were...
Regarding BIOS: I know that you can do that, but I like to use Dell Openmanage and after dell nixed the XC730 from automatic firmware updates I decided to just go with standard Dell equipment and none of that repurposed stuff.
Regarding X520s: I figured they'd work, and tbh that's great that...
Huh I didn't know that, you learn more every day! Deciding if I want to get a pair of these to serve as edge routers for my colo system rework...
Sadly it appears Dell doesn't have any OEM supported 10Gb NICs for these chassis.
So my Girlfriend is moving in with me, and as a result I need to shed some of my homelab equipment to make room for clothes and other things "I should have". Still have my colocated lab, but some of the extra stuff just sitting in my apartment has to go. My loss is your gain!
Server Chassis...
I agree with this, but the issue is that a lot of people on this forum ARE resellers but are also active. This may slow down the problem but won't ultimately fix it.
I purchased from the PM983a listing. Also the "he claim"...really? I can do more than claim...
He's also conveniently leaving out the fact that all the SSDs he sent to me (in the SMART data he messaged to me when I first purchased the drives) had already been powered on 2 times. I included...
Yeah, I wouldn't. No TBW, apparently 3 power on hours and power-on count being 8 means to him that I must have used the drive for 3 hours. (How exactly do I use a drive that hasn't been written to?)
I do not recommend buying from this seller. I ordered 6 PM983a SSDs for a project, and I received 5x PM983 (non-A) and 1x PM983a SSDs. After initiating a refund under the Ebay Money Back Guarantee for items not being as described, I shipped the 5 PM983 drives back. Upon receipt of the drives the...
Odd, I couldn't get it detected. It might be the firmware on the drive, or just a DOA ssd. Either way, no big deal as I'm returning all the 983s and going with something that just works. Annoying but necessary.
I had a similar issue with a Xeon Scalable quanta chassis. What I did to fix it was temporarily install linux and ipmitool, and reset it that way. (It worked flawlessly)
