I have a yahoo email in my spam box where the email address it originates from is my email address??
Subject title: Document 2
with attachment.

I did run a virus and malware check a couple of days ago, all was clear.
Should I be concerned I may have a virus, etc. that is emailing myself?
Maybe yahoo has a virus or malware :D.

Just a heads up in case you get a similar email (from yourself), it could be doggy.

(I have not opened the email in my PC)

Nope. The protocols for email were written in a simpler time by people who could trust the bloke in the next cubic... I mean office. And in fact the next town and even next country over.

So there's no "proof" really of who you say you are in the email.

For example:

Code:
telnet mail.yahoo.com 25
HELO mail.deathstar.empire.com
MAIL FROM: Darth@deathstar.empire.com
RCPT TO: Boddy@yahoo.com
DATA
Subject: Luke: I am your father

(N/T).
.
That's a complete transaction from the sending side. But I'm pretty sure I'm not Darth Vader, Maul or anything else.

This is super common for spammers to do.

I get many per-day from 'myself'.

Yea spammers can spoof you as the sender/ reply to. Usually the big e-mail guys are good at filtering that out.

I've seen many recently saying:
"Sir / madam, you have an outstanding invoice. please see attached and pay at earliest"

I can't figure out if they're trying a PDF attachment virus or if they're trying to get me to send money.
