Alright, I've been toying around with a few DIY NVMe options and have found that my Supermicro SuperServer 2028U-TN24R4T+ machine is no longer receiving the level of use that it previously was (briefly). Consequently, I'm listing it for sale as a both a fully spec'd machine or bare bones chassis in perfect condition.
Supermicro requires that dealers package this chassis with a minimum of 2x CPU's, memory, and NVMe SSD's, so the option to purchase the machine as a true bare bones chassis is a rarity.
$2999 + Shipping (OBO) For Barebones Chassis (Server will ship in original box with all original packaging and components 4x 10G NIC riser/PSU's/drive trays/24x NVMe backplane/etc)
or $9999 + Shipping (OBO) For a Complete Server Including:
-Buyer's choice of 2x 2696V4's SR2J0 or 2x QS 2698V4's (other V3/V4's available on request)
-4x Intel P3600 1.6TB NVMe SSD's
-128GB Reg ECC DDR4
-Fully licensed Windows Server 2016 Data Center (unlimited virtualization rights)
More information on bare chassis at link below:

I don't have a new pictures handy at the moment, but the server can be seen in the top of the following picture (PM me for personal contact information)- Will add updated pics shortly:
Feel free to make an offer!
Thanks,
Craig Rhyne
