They have the "same" offer for europe, at 449 euros it does not seem that bad given that it includes VAT.

It came back to life last night around 11pm CDT, however reportedly quickly went out of stock/dead again (within 30 minutes?). Evidently the $100 giftcard on top of the 'limited time $399 sale price' was an Amazon 'Deal of the Day'.

How are you guys liking this? Can you play normal games on these?

What I'd like is a headset that I can play Overwatch on without it going to my main monitor. I don't care as much about the VR part.

Mine just arrived. Since I am using a HDTV for a big 4K monitor, it is using my only HDMI port GeForce® GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8G | Graphics Card | GIGABYTE

Crazy that in 2017 a card still has 3 video output types.

You don't have an electronics store near you? They're $10 for DP-HDMI adapters.

I ended up getting a DVI to HDMI adapter and everything works now. I am actually typing this from Virtual Desktop and Oculus VR.

I am a bit bummed that text is not sharper, but this is the functionality I want. Apparently, I am the most boring person on earth and I just want my full desktop VR experience.
