Is the KTN-STL3 sorta the best bang/buck in the ~15 slot 3.5" chassis ? Is there any particular vendor that is decent to pick one up? eBay prices seem to be around $250+ +shipping now. Reading this thread, they appeared to be quite a bit cheaper at one time.

I bought an LSI 9211 4e4i adapter off of Ebay, but I didn't pay much attention and I bought one with a low profile PCI-E bracket. I need a tall bracket. Anyone have an extra tall bracket lying around?

Well, it looks like I did get it to work. I went back to the Rufus created FreeDOS image and just skipped the megacli step to record the SAS ID number. The commands to wipe the flash succeeded, rebooted, then the commands to reflash completed successfully as well. I just made up my own...
