I’m trying to get my C6100 to run from my Atx power supply, I have the 5v to 12v booster, and a pack of both the microfit connections.
My questions are; For the microfit 0430-251200 you need 6 grounds, which can be taken directly from the PSU.
1 12Vsb connect which is made by putting PIN 9 to...
Ahh okay thanks !

I've obviously not set it up...
I just did the help switch and it says to do -N node for ip address of target system
so I just do -N 000.192.192.192
But it says -N isn't a recognised command??
I think I'll leave this alone before I break something lol
Is there a way I can cut the wires to the fans, then add some...
I just downloaded ipmiutil-3.0.6-win64 and installed it.. but got no idea how to use it or even launch it.
I'm gonna reset my server load up bios and see if i can set a static ip for ipmi and launch from my windows browser
Thanks for your replys. I don't really want to replace the fans, as i assume i'd have to buy 4 more fans... although it probably would be quieter.
I'm going to try to lower the RPM of the fans, but i'm not too sure if I would be successful.
Would it be possible to cut the wires off of the...
(tldr at bottom)
I'm currently using my C6100 as my 'desktop PC' and as you all know.. The fans on them are very powerful and quite loud.
Sometimes after the C6100 has been running for about an hour or so... the fans will drop down to 1/4 or 1/2 speed.. and the noise will be 'bareable'
Hi I have a C6100, and I was wondering on one of the nodes... if I changed the BOTH CPUs to i7 920 (still LGA 1366) should they both be compatible ?
Intel i7 920 have CPU benchmark of about 4500.... I could also get 2x xeon E5645 that have a CPU benchmark rating of about 6500
If I was...
Many thanks for your reply !
If I try the E5645 in CPU 0 and have no CPU in CPU 1, will that still work with only one CPU?
Only reason I asked is I had the same no boot issue when I tried to boot from
I've got a C6100, and i'm trying to upgrade one of the nodes.
They currently have 2x e5506
I bought a W3520 and a E5645
I tried putting the W3520 & E5645, the screen stays blank and doesn't boot.
I then put a E5506 in CPU 0, and W3520 in CPU 1. Still not boot
I just tried booting with 1x...
After a bit of searching, I came across this thread Watercooled single C6100 node build log.
He mentions a user called 'solid' having made a thread about making a c6100 run out of chassis... but I cannot find this thread; can someone link me to it ?
As long as I know its possible, I will attempt myself soon.
If possible can you try to link the thread here ?
As my attempt would involves stripping out the chassis, then seeing how many components i can remove whilst still keeing it running (or which components can be modified) & then AFTER...
