I am using an older crosshair VI x370 board and I was poking through the bios and saw NVDIMM options. Is this actually supported & works on such an old non-intel platform? I was intrigued & google isn't returning much....

Assuming I'm setting up a new truenas box (Ryzen 3900x @ 65w, 128G ecc ram, no de-dup) is there an advantage of using these over the 3.2TB P4600s I picked up for some sort of cache? I've read optane is ideal esp for de-dup, but assuming I'm not doin de-dup, would these make a noticeable difference?

Does anyone know if Asrock is better at keeping up with AGESA/UEFI support (or whatever the epyc equivalent is) on this board compared to their AM4/AM5 boards? Edit: It's been about a year since this board got a firmware update so I'm going to pass.
