Tested both drives direct connected to a raid controller. It is known to working/supported. Both drives tested bad. Awaiting replacement hardware to test in SA120.
Can anyone confirm they have drives of the series listed in title working in a Lenovo SA120 JBOD enclosure?
The largest/newest drives I have working are:
ST14000NM0048 X14 14TB SAS
I’ve tested:
12000NM002G X16 12TB SAS - bad drive?
16000NM002G X16 16TB SAS - bad drive?
Both are found...
1x - Intel Retail S3500 800GB - Warranty till end of 2018/2019? - Higher hours then I thought - Second one got covered by cursor. It has 10349 hours - $150/ea
3x - Intel Dell Branded S3500 300GB - No Warranty - High Hours - $75/ea
6x - Seagate Lenovo Branded ST4000NM0023 - For RD series - No...
Lenovo OEMs were exactly the same as Intel retail... I used both... They did not run a custom firmware or anything.

Hmmm I didn't even know there were LSI, Avago, Broadcom or whatever the hell they are called now, non Megaraid HBA's or RAID cards... What's your reasoning behind not wanting one?
