    Enterprise SSD "small deals"

1.6A at 12V, sounds like those get a bit toasty in use :D

Ruckus Wireless as an Unifi alternative?

Nice work, I wonder if it would be possible to "fix" the dd-wrt blob to work with Ruckus. My thinking would be try the blob swapping out for a version of the firmware that still worked on the radio and go from there maybe. I also wonder if theres just other missing dependencies.

    ASRock DeskMeet X600 (65W/12Cores/96GiB ECC/PicoPSU/SFP+/case-mod)

Size of wires/traces and what the various pins/connectors are rated for. Modern MB most of the 12V is via the CPU connectors, so I guess you could DIY those to your 12V source and be "fine". Some of these small DC-DC PSUs also do DC-DC on the 12V to regulate it more tightly and or allow a...

    ASRock DeskMeet X600 (65W/12Cores/96GiB ECC/PicoPSU/SFP+/case-mod)

IIRC, The normal "G" series don't usually support ECC *at all*. The normal desktop chips support it but it's unverified (as in, should work, but up to OEM of MB to properly enable it in bios, etc) the "PRO" are verified support

Multi-NVMe (m.2, u.2) adapters that do not require bifurcation

Ugh, 404 is a really dumb way to handle that IMHO. Actually, maybe a short link issue. Loading the main site and searching for that card I get the listing and can open it lol

Multi-NVMe (m.2, u.2) adapters that do not require bifurcation

In *most cases* you'll be limited by the actual flash performance (or higher level things like file system, CPU/RAM, OS) in real world use. Basically anything but the sequential pure read and pure write with hand picked transfer size and queue depth the manufactures use to put the number on the...

Multi-NVMe (m.2, u.2) adapters that do not require bifurcation

Link is 404, it almost looks like it tried to load and then redirected to a 404, wonder if the listing is pulled :(

    Supermicro AOC-SLG3-2E4 - $25

Issue is the connector might be SFF 8643 but some products DO use "custom" pinouts on that connector (such as the DELL cards that have been discussed before).

Sun Oracle 7096186 PCIE Switch Adapter... plx?

This card is popping up again on ebay, did anyone have any luck?

    Supermicro AOC-SLG3-2E4 - $25

"Performance hit" is usually vastly over stated. In most cases you are not hitting max speed of the drive anyways. I'd worry more about latency hit depending on the exact PLX chip or worse bad blocking behavior when more than one device is communicating.

    Supermicro AOC-SLG3-2E4 - $25

Any idea which pinout these use? Looks like these have been discussed here before: https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/sun-oracle-7096186-pcie-switch-adapter-plx.29392/ Same Q for the supermicro ones actually Another use is if you wanted to you could hang 2 NVMe off a 4x...

    ICX 7250-24P upgrade suggestions

No suggestions, but if you end up wanting to offload that 7250-24p send me a ping, I'd be interested if the price is right :) (and I haven't blown though my "fun budget" :D )

Ruckus Wireless as an Unifi alternative?

thanks for the confirmation @ms264556 What breaks if you upgrade a crossflashed "R850" to a 200.15 release and (try to) use the radios? Do the radios just not work? does it not boot? If I'm willing to try it is there any useful debug I can pull (willing to connect to the serial port inside)

Ruckus Wireless as an Unifi alternative?

So if we are using a R730 flashed to R850 stay on 200.14 still?

Think I got scammed on ebay looking for advice.

Yeah, I've got like another week on estimated delivery and thus e-bay just tells me to wait. Hopefully will be OK in the end. The biggest advantage of ebay IMHO is that if I buy from a seller, I am buying FROM that seller. I'm not buying "name_brand" and getting anything in the mixed bin of...
