I actually just checked the August stats. One of the 14TB toshiba is the single most used drive at BB. It has a below average rate of failure (favorable). There’s another 14TB model with a higher rate, but they have less than 2000 drives compared to 32k of the other drive. Seems like a decent...
That seems like a great price. I was thinking about doing 2 vdevs of 6 drives. Then if I need more space I can just add a third vdev with 6 more. Thanks!!!

I haven't tried proxmox, but they work great on windows and esxi. I have 2 of these. I use ubuntu to flash them to the RA13 firmware, so I'm guessing they would work fine in debian as well.

I'm just running a vanilla GTX 960 and it has no problem powering my dual 4k displays. But I just working Windows all down. Lots of word, powerpoint, excel, and Oracle software.

I also ran memtest86 on my bad RAM. I ran it for 4 days thinking it had to eventually figure it out...nope. I didn't try any tests in Linux, just memtest86+. It said it was just fine, but once I swapped it out, no issues since.
