Anyone have a guide to the cheapest dual 4k capable card out there? I know the W2100 can do dual at 4k 30hz, but that can be problematic as I have read. The W4100 can do it.

I ::think:: at GTX1030 can, but that's only got one Displayport.

I don't particularly care if it's used.

What connection do the monitors have? Just DP?
MSI has a GT 1030 with HDMI 2.0b and DP, that would probably do. The 1050s normally come with both also.
Quadro K2000 or K2200 have dual DP and are inexpensive on ebay. I have used a few of those for dual 1440p nicely.

I'm just running a vanilla GTX 960 and it has no problem powering my dual 4k displays. But I just working Windows all down. Lots of word, powerpoint, excel, and Oracle software.

If you only need up to three 4k simultaneous display, cheapest solution is one gtx950. If you need four 4k displays then I think you have to look at more expensive quadro or firepro

We are talking about 4k at 60hz and 4:4:4 chroma here.... not crappy 30hz or 4 2 chroma or whatever... dp 1.2 and hdmi 2.0 full compliance are a must for both the video card and the display

DP1.2 is pretty easy to get. 2.0 needs GTX 9(Maxwell?) or 10 level. Getting a second card is also an option vs going up to a more expensive card.

It's rated for 3 5k panels as long as you care about display(maybe video) and not games
That's a fairly good priced for a quadro part if you are not much into 3D acceleration. it's single slot so you can add another one easily to display six 4k panels whether as the 950 is dual slot so it takes more space. also this is a pascal based card so I think it does h265 video playback quite decent too..

If you ever need to have HDMI 2.0 you can get a DP1.2 to HDMI 2.0 for like 30-40$.

FYI the P400 has fewer cores than the GT1030.
Not a problem if you are just trying to display text.

you are not getting either one to play any kind of games anyway. so the fact that p400 has 3 dp 1.4 is huge compared to gt1030 only have 1 dp 1.4 and 1 hdmi 2
