I am on the verge of buying an Intel E5-2670 v2 CPU for my Supermicro X9SRL-F-O motherboard, and before I hit the "Buy" button I need advice if the CPU will work on the motherboard.
Thanks, Thanks, Thanks!
The Supermicro X9SRL-F (no -O) page says it should work "supports Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600/1600 and E5-2600/1600 v2 family† († BIOS version 3.0 or above is required)".
BUT
The Amazon page of the board (where I had got mine) says "Supports up to 8 Cores and up to 130W TDP"
So I'm confused if the 10-core E5-2670 v2 will work on this board.
If not, I'll fallback to my basic choice of buying an E5-2660 v1.
