Thanks! Ended up buying used Dell S5248F-ON with OS10. We have in-house experience with their switches... Buying 3 of them for less then half the price compared to purchasing one new.
Been looking at used switches over the weekend and I realize there are huge savings to be made going that route :)
Any recommendation in that area?
What should I think about buying used switches?
Is it possible to get updates without a support agreement?
Sorry, I was a bit short in my description...
Of course we will need 2 switches of whatever we choose, the important thing is that it works good in such configuration....
I need between 16-24 ports, at least 25 GBE...
We usually keep switches for as long as we can get a good price on the...
I need a high performance iSCSI switch of good quality to connect my SAN to my virtualisation servers. Reliability is key here, it must perform good for years and run well in a HA setup.
Any recommendation?

How is OPNsense running high availability? Is it working well?
It is time to replace the firewalls here and we currently run 2 x Watchguard M390 in HA-mode with 2x10 Gbit expansion ports. I am interested in going open source with somethings like pfSense/OPNsense, but what kind of hardware should we buy if we decide to go that route?
Need something rack...
I want to build (or buy something pre-built that meet my specifications) but need advice where I can find this.
My requirements are:
- CPU should be low power but still powerful
- Minimum of 64 GB ECC memory
- 2 x NVMe
- 2 x 2.5" SSD
- 2 x NIC (preferable 2.5 gb or 10gb)
Not sure if this...
I ended up using Proxmox and software raid using ZFS and that works fine :)
My question was probably badly worded. I was looking for a PCIe raid controller with M.2 slots.
Can anyone recommend a good, decently priced M.2 raid controller that will work for the ASRock Rack RomeD8-2T motherboard and ESXi 7 for my new home lab server?
