Hi, I am trying to switch my X8DTE setup to an X9SRI in the same SC836 chassis. I am wondering if the problem is which 8pin CPU power cord I use - does it matter?
One 8pin is labeled "PC" and the other is "PD." Obviously C comes before D, so is this the "primary" CPU connector? Does it matter? I can't test because the PC is slightly to short, so I can only use PD (or get an extender for PC, which is what this question is about).
The problem: VGA isn't being detected, the server turns on fine, no beeps, nothing. I've tried removing RAM, reseating CPU, checking all the jumpers, everything I can think of really. Is perhaps the problem that, if using only one CPU on a 2 CPU PSU, you have to connect it to the PC/"primary" connector? Is there a such thing as a "primary" 8pin cord?
