These are really uncommon since the chassis that contain them are not sold outside of fully built out servers. I've dealt with them directly off eBay, so they should be able to give you slightly better pricing. Not sure if they will ship outside the US however, so you may need to use a freight forwarder (I've helped a few people on the forum if you don't have one).

super duper uncommon in the USA - I've been watching for a decent price on one since June.
I was able to get a pair of SAS3-826A-N4 for $100each over the summer but the price has gone up with the seller I used and are now at $130.00 each.
I'd really like to get one of the 216A-N4 variants but the current price is more than I want to pay right now.

You saw the 216A-N4 for $130? uhmm I'd buy one at that price. I see the 826-N4 at that price but the 826-N4 will not work in a 216 chassis. But I suppose you might have an 826 chassis too? (like me)...
There were two offers tonight for ~130US$ ... one was the 826-N4 at exact 130US$ and one the 216A-N4 at 134US$ on eBay US. I can't find the 216A-N4 anymore. I'm pretty sure because I wanted to click both of them, but then got confused and wanted to check later today. Now, cheapest I found for the 216 are ~230US$.
ouch. I missed that and was hunting last night. I didn't buy it. I would have had I seen it though.
