I have an X540-T2 but it's Supermicro branded - cheap Taiwanese crap? I know their SFP+ cards are less picky about transceivers than Intel cards but that won't help you with an RJ45 plug

I got X710 based card (qnap branded) for sale if you have interest. 2x nbase. Compaible with intel nvme update packages (running 9.20 now).
