I am redoing my server setup at home and would like to get some input primarily regarding were to run my PVR suite. currently they are all on my Freenas server running off of the storage pool of spinners, but with the recent deal on the Intel dc 300GB (of which i bought 4) i will now the opportunity to setup a secondary SSD pool which i could move the jails to. This Freenas server will be direct connected an ESXI server by 10GB to provide VM storage over NFS.

Basically should i run my PVR suite on?
a. Freenas primary array of spinners
b. Freenas secondary array of Intel DC SSD's
c. ESXI VM linked to primary Freenas array via NFS over 10GB

Thanks in advance for your input.

I assume that your media will all end up on the spinning disk array anyways, so I would just leave the "media acquisition" jails on that array as moves to the final location should be instantaneous. You may want to move Plex to the SSD array as this will help the client's populate their views faster (makes the GUI more snappy).
