Don't upgrade if running HPE controller, Seagate EXOS X12 drives to latest Seagate firmware E004, HP£'s P840 Smart Array Controller has issues, probably the same with other HPE raid controllers of same generation, though LSI controllers across all generations are fine (tested).
Does anyone have an EXOS X12 SAS drive they could dump the firmware v E002 for me? would be greatly appreciated! Lots of hugs and virtual kisses!!!
Seagate support have passed on the case to their engineers because apparently they do not have E002 firmware as a file, it came installed at production.
