Use U.2 NVMe drive in 2U Supermicro 825TQC-600LPB chassis

Hi,

How can I use U.2 NVMe drive (ie Samsung Enterprise PM983 - 7680 GB - 2.5" - 3200 (MZQLB7T6HMLA-00007)) in 2U Supermicro 825TQC-600LPB chassis (SC825TQC-600LPB | 2U | Chassis | Products | Supermicro) ?
If I put in PCIe adapter card I think it will be too high even with low profile card. If I use SFF8643-SFF8639 card and connect drives with cables, I have to fix the drives somewhere ... but where ?
Any experience, idea (other then changing backplane) ?

There are no U.2-compatible backplanes available for the CSE-825 chassis (I just looked at this myself this weekend, they are only available for CSE-826). You'll have to mount the U.2 drive in one of the non-removable-bays at the top of the chassis (there are two of them), and use a suitable pair of power and data cables to connect it. PCIe low-profile cards work fine in that chassis, that's what the 'LP' in the model number means

When I looked for suitable place, I also thought about these two holes at the top ... thank you for confirmation.

I have this one: X11SPL-F | Motherboards | Products | Supermicro
It has more space in my chassis because it has just one CPU. Thank you for the hint
