seems like a good deal to me. I've paid about this price for Intel DC S3700 for half the capacity. this seems comparable to S3700, except for half the endurance, but still 5DWPD and uses less power. 800GB for $149, qty=76 as of this posting.

That item has been there for many weeks, I think there is a reason no one buys this. They are either fragile, buggy or slow, or a combination of those. I have not found a single benchmark of these either.

AnandTech says Intrepid 3700 & 3800 are similar to the earlier 3600; changes include switch to 19nm eMLC NAND and reduced over-provisioning:

Sometimes IOPS drop to 10K, which isn't good for RAID.
