I just want to share a issue I had with a X10DRL-I that I bought on Ebay that would not start bios as it was corrupted and I couldn't enter ipmi to flash the bios there. As there wasn't much info on Google on how to fix this I figured I could share it here.
I fixed this by create a fat32 usb device, with the bios file found on the supermicro website. I renamed the file to Super.ROM and placed it in the root folder of the usb device. I plugged in the USB device, booted the system and it went into recovery mode automatically. If not, you can hold down ctrl-home.
Then the the bios recovery tab will be displayed. Hit the flash button, wait and reboot. Now everything should work great!
