Supermicro MCP-290-00014-00 Compatibility

Do these only fit the SC836 or will they work on the old SC846 as well?

I came across 2 sets new in the box, ordered, them and then found out that they may not work for my SC846 even though I thought they were right.

I have MCP-290-00053-0N on my old 846 cases, seller found the correct rails based on chassis serial number. They were end of life back in 2014 when I bought mine, so might be kind of hard to find now.

I think they should work on the 846. If you buy chance find they don’t and are looking to part ways please let me know. I’m in need of a set of these rails.

Today i ordered it, will see in several days if come, and will be good.

These do work on the SC846A as an FYI.

Just note that these rails (00014, as well as 00001) predated the quick-release tabs, so only 846 rev K4 or earlier, or 3U rev J2 or earlier.
