I have 3x H8DGi-F which I have installed recently. Same BIOS, Same IPMI firmware.

There's something that really puzzles me as I can easily and happily access one of the motherboards via IPMIVIEW where the other two are inaccessible. Basically I can't get past the login screen.

All three motherboards can be accessed via the IMPI web interface and appear to have identical settings apart from network settings. Do I need to set anything specific on the IPMI settings (e.g. hidden raw parameter) to be able to log via IPMIVIEW or something?

A second question is: if I reset the IMPI to factory default, I suppose I would have the network settings lost right? Does the default use DHCP?

Many thanks!

Thats odd, if you can access via the website then the IPMIVIEW should function the same. Does none of the options display after you login with the APP? Should you perform a reset there is an option to retain the LAN setting which will not clear them however a full reset will revert back to DHCP.

My recommendation would be to reset and setup the using the ipmi-cfg as I've had more success with that recently.

Actully in IPMIVIEW on windows I spotted this almost invisible error in the bottom left corner:

This confuses me as I'm looking in with the default ADMIN/ADMIN credentials and the ADMIN user is indeed an administrator.

Odd, the only reference I can think about is LDAP/Active Directory but it's all disables in the config
