Hi everyone, I am new to the forum though I am an user on r/homelab and r/datahoarder and a watcher of the STH youtume channel.
Recently I set up a freenas server connected to a NetApp DS4486 disk shelf and partially filled it with 4TB HGST drives (NetApp branded, already 512bytes sectors). The model number is
According to the
which apparently means I only have access to [the wrong] temperature data from the drive.
Now, I can't seem to find any info on what is the cause, if it's the drives or the firmware that doesn't support more, and so how can I flash a firmware that supports it, or if it's the netapp dual drive sleds which strip smart data.
Has anyone already encountered this issue?

camcontrol
