its a nice price since those are nvme's (gen3), i think its because they aren't produced anymore (they'll be gone forever).
Hynix is doing p41's (gen4) for a good while now.

*The endurance is not that great, but not that bad either for consumer grade nvme.
1TB 750TBW
2TB 1.2PBW

(Other sub-$50 nvme's)

Crucial P3 1TB ($43) 110TBW
WD Blue SN570 1TB ($47) 600TBW *con high-temps (best dollar value for gen3)
WD Green SN350 1TB ($49) 80TBW *doesn't hit 3GB/s
adata ssd legend 800 1TB ($44) ?600TBW? *No credible data stating it

(if we compare with gen4, its even less sense to buy gen3)

I haven't been in the market for NVME in quite a while, and it struck me that MC was low-balling AMZN by a fair factor (USD40 last I checked).

Gen3 is top-shelf for me right now ;)

I'd purchase a dozen off-shelf if I had reason *shrugs*

I just knew that a famous surveillance camera brand, which has SSD business also(so you know which brand it is), launched its business grade TLC 8TB SSD products on the Chinese market, model e260p, power-loss-protection included.

The P31s are decent performers for Gen3 and one of the top energy-efficient options for the category, which makes them great for battery-powered stuff like laptops. SK Hynix SSDs have always been rock solid for me (SATA 2.5", nvme Gen 3, etc)

They typically run a bit pricier than their competitors on Amazon, so not a bad deal if you have a Microcenter near you

I bought two more (the last two 2TB at one of my local MC's).

Both will be used as externals in TB4 enclosures for a Mac Studio.

The two I have in my CWWK n305 AL-4L-V2.0 are quite performant.
