Not yet available, but all the product pages are now up (just search for "X12SDV"). Assuming no issues with supply chain, I would expect availability in the next couple months, but that's just my guess.
There's only one SKU with an 8 core Xeon D-2700 CPU (X12SDV-8C-SPT8F). Likely looking at ~$1700 given the increase in CPU price over the Xeon D-2100 series.
Ouch, Im on the D1541 Datto board still. It has served me well for a few years already, but considering upgrading to either Alder Lake or new Xeon-D for new features and lower power consumption. Gonna be hard to justify if its that expensive. D1700 series might be somewhat more reasonable?
Depends on what you consider reasonable? Just remember that MSRP on the Xeon D-1541 boards was over $1k. Just an FYI that TDP has also increased, not gone down with the newer generations.
Oh boy. That's quite a hefty price tag they got going there... not entirely unexpected but at this rate you might as well get some similar-frequency cores elsewhere and just deal with the larger physical space requirements the lesser integration causes.
Integrated 100GbE, QAT, industrial temperature rated SKUs, etc. They're not aimed for consumer use. Not going to find anything else with that in a compact package.
Depends on size constraints; plenty of Intel chips at a lower price point with the downside of being socketed and requiring separate 100GbE over PCIe. ECC, QAT and industrial temperature ranges all the same.
