I have some DDR3 memory that has the following nomenclature printed that I understand is the JEDEC description.

PC3-10600E-9-10-D0

What does "9-10-D0" mean? I posted a similar question on /r/hardware and someone said it was primary timings. But it doesn't make sense because I've seen timings written in the form 4-4-4, 5-5-5-5. "D0" seems strange to be a timing value. I have seen some memory modules describe die ranking but would like to know what specification describes the description.

the latency at 10600 memory is correct in the range of 9..10
D0 will be the revision of the module or SPD
samsung is using such different JEDEC label descriptions.

Thanks for the input. Is it a Samsung-specific thing? I've seen it printed on SK Hynix too.

not sure because i did not found any samsung docu. about this labeling for DDR3, but the specs for DDR4 are there.
very important is this information for RDIMM LRDIMM type modules. the types of the used buffers/clockdrivers are defined herein.
