$183 vs $315 is pretty good for a 0.2Mhz base clock difference i thought.

yeah price for one cpu:

2680 v2: $183
2690 v2: $315

it's a huge different price for incremental performance not anywhere close to how much you spend more.

One single 2690 v2 has about equal multithread performance as one 8700k but of course costs a little less. one 2680 v2 is definitely a little less than 8700k. but if you run dual 2680 v2 you will pretty much beat any z370 socket cpu by a wide marginthat intel can come up with probably within the next 1 yr would be my guess (unless intel and amd suddenly crank it up another notch).... for only $360 or about the retail price of one 8700k...
