MLX SX60XX VLAN interface

Does anyone know how to create a vlan interface on a MLX Ethernet enabled switch?

Manual says:


My switch says...



Looked around in the cli but couldnt find anything

You piqued my interest when I saw your post.

You need to enable L3 first.

ip l3​

The interesting thing about it is on the EMC SX6012 that was converted to 3.6.8012, there is no vlan command in the cli. But they can be created on the webUI and the configurations show up in running-config. 3.6.1002 works fine.

I think you just forgot. You commented after https://forums.servethehome.com/ind...-as-mellanox-sx6xxx-on-ebay.10786/post-247898 who ran into the same problem.

The manual states that a switch in VPI mode, L2 is the default, Eth mode L3 is the default. Maybe that caught you off guard?

Probably confused by the Cisco switches which do vlan interfaces despite not being in L3 routing mode

Not on Cisco but another that's very similar and that has happened to me before. Causes its own set of problems!
