I wonder which test could highlight in a visual and objective way the difference PLP makes, like a caching device for a storage array/volume.
I've chosen its predecessor 7300 Max to my storage system write caching drives specifically for two reasons a) high durability/warranty and b) having PLP onboard.
Like SlogBench used by Patrick a few years ago:https://www.servethehome.com/exploring-best-zfs-zil-slog-ssd-intel-optane-nand/

I ordered a 7400 Pro 1TB M2.PCIe 2280. Can someone recommend me a suitable cooler or can the SSD also be operated without a cooler? The Micron data sheet doesn't mention anything about installing a cooler!
