obvi, that makes sense, my bad.no, the 8GB 1Rx4 of course
Ok time to do some ebay shopping!
Nothing else to consider right?
obvi, that makes sense, my bad.no, the 8GB 1Rx4 of course
but manuals say:Ok time to do some ebay shopping!
Nothing else to consider right?
OMG that makes it so much easier to shop and match!but manuals say:
Only populate DIMMA2 and DIMMD2 if the extra memory support is needed
(some say these two extra slots are only to match 1TB Memory)
personaly i would buy 6x 16GB RDIMM and let A2/D2 empty.
I keep my fingers crossed that these processors are still in good condition. Do you already have a motherboard where they should be in?Just got lucky and found 4x P-8136's
P-8136 is only 165W TDP not the problem, problem is missing microcode and my erperience is not much good with latest BIOS+B1 MCAnd yeah, I have some asrock EPC621D8A boards
the P-8136 / P-8124 must be bad then, but i have not one of these to test B1 stepping. i have only 16 core unlocked QLKHSo far what you sent me got the results I was hoping for. The current 8136 and 8124s boost to their max and hold there
here is another thread with specialy the P8124. bad TIM runs hot.So far what you sent me got the results I was hoping for. The current 8136 and 8124s boost to their max and hold there
or use some (good/not too much, not too less) thermal paste. AFAIK cascade lake is not soldered like skylake, the TIM may bad after long time of use. have you used water ? the QL2K 26 core can go 3200mhz all core still air cooled, but more requires water then.I might put some sandpaper against them to bring the copper out and flatten the damn things as they are round and that's causing the thermal issues for sure.
not required, the surface is big. which cooler ?I tried some MX-4 from Arctic but I can try with Liquid Metal from Thermal Grizzley and see.
check the core temps for songle major differendes in temp. i.e. a bad P-8124 had temps from 59 to 88 degree same run.might delid this chip first or go to Intel and ask for them to delid it for me (I live next to the Intel Campuses in Oregon and have friends there who could help)
no way, sorry.Dynatron B4A cooler. Full copper
EPYC solderd. not work with this(or you have to change physics). 8275cl is custom, needs custom cooling. They handle some of my 64 core epycs just fine
Which coolers would you recommend? Just in case somebody happens to stumble upon more of these in the future?8275cl is custom, needs custom cooling.
take a look into HWinfo package power at CBR23 run. then choose a cooler which can do this continious.Which coolers would you recommend? Just in case somebody happens to stumble upon more of these in the future?
checked the core temps ? or do the second think before the first...I mean I don't mind delidding and lapping to be flat and efficient
checked the temps for major differences between core ? or is that a secret ? don't have HWinfo ? you ran CBR23 so i thought you run windows.ot a huge drop in temps so thats nice but after now 30 minutes it hits 90 but rarely.
made this on a Dell 7820Is it possible to change the TDC for dell servers (eg r740) to support OEM processors?
