I don't think I've ever been able to successfully post an image to the forum. I've seen other people post images, so I'm not exactly sure what's going on. I've also seen posts other than mine where the images don't display properly.

For example:

The above just shows a custom (to this site) "broken image" icon which has no hover text or onclick action. The picture exists, as you can see by clicking here: https://www.glaver.org/transient/DSCF1040-s.jpg

This happens regardless of the use of http or https in the image tag. If I had to guess, it has something to do with the Skimresources "monetization" feature that is in use here.

Something else it seems:
upload_2015-11-26_6-58-30.png

Now the big question is why that is happening both on the http and https version.

OK so it seems like the server is not resolving glaver.org. When I can get to a PC I will figure out what is up. It is resolving lots of other addresses so something interesting must be happening.

Hmmm. I used to use tmk.com as my domain, which has been registered for 20+ years, and had the same thing with that. Let's try a different host:

http://www2.ispnet.net/~terry/DSCF1038-s.jpg

OK. That works. Let's see where the request is coming from:
Code:
(0:10) www2:/sysprog/terry/public_html# tail -10000 /var/log/httpd-access.log | grep DSCF1038-s.jpg
199.195.128.131 - - [27/Nov/2015:16:38:44 -0500] "GET /~terry/DSCF1038-s.jpg HTTP/1.0" 200 249750 "-" "Zend_Http_Client"
199.195.128.131 - - [27/Nov/2015:16:38:44 -0500] "GET /~terry/DSCF1038-s.jpg HTTP/1.0" 200 249750 "-" "Zend_Http_Client"
<adam savage>Well, there's your problem!</adam savage>

199.195.128.0 was blackholed for repeatedly spamming my users. It wasn't just me, either - there are a number of SORBS listings for that netblock as well. And 199.195.128.131 has no working reverse DNS entry.

I've unblocked that address range and will keep an eye on the spam situation.

The weird thing was that the images were showing up fine in the preview, just not in the actual post.

Yea on the test site it was working same VM, but a different IP range.

Sadly, the FH IPv4 block is very small. No clue what else is on the /24.
