HP Z600 Barebones build

Im looking at an HP Z600 that needs memory, hard drives and a video card. Do any of these three components have to be HP or can I just buy components off new egg? I’m guessing they don’t have to be HP but I want to be 100% before I purchase.

I have no problem finding parts or deals, I just want to know if I need HP parts or I can use generic brands.

You can usually use generics but HP servers at least complain about anything not HP in them... but it'll work.

Z600 works fine with non-HP branded RAM, HDDs, and Graphics cards. IIRC, even flashed Dell H310 to LSI FW on this system. Depending the MB date you can even use 6x16gb DIMMs. The manual says 8GB only. I believe that is true on older Rev of the MB.
