Maybe a bit expensive, but hopefully we start to see cheaper generic solutions.

Just realised Patrick has already covered this (a year ago!):

Has anyone had any experience? Do they have a PLX chip or do they require the motherboard to support bifurcation?

Both products are good on paper only: no hardware RAID support, limited OS support, too pricey for what it is.

I have the Z Turbo Drive versions G1, G2, Dual Pro, and Quad Pro. The G1 and G2 have a small "Q1" transistor that can be cut free but otherwise those both won't run on anything but a HP computer that is engineered to turn off an auto-shutdown by the card. Remove that Q1 and it defeats that. Have done that, it works, easy to remove Q1, discovered by a forum member here and posted about here. The DP and QP need PCIe slot bifurcation turned on in BIOS for the Zx40 and up HP workstations for 2/4 NVMe M.2 drives to be recognized, and I bet the G1/G2 issue above exists too.
