Hi All!

Quick question on older HP G6 servers and iLO 2, I'm a Dell guy so excuse the basic questions.

I have a couple HP DL360 G6 personal servers I bought used (have not arrived yet). I am trying to figure out for the iLO 2 if I need a license to allow for power control and ipkvm and virtual media access, or do the HP ilo's have that functionality at the basic level?

If I need a to buy something to get more advanced access, this is just a software key, correct?

Thanks!
Tom

You'll need the key for KVM, but power control is in the basic package. Google around a bit and you can find some really good deals on the key.

To use the iLO, you need the license key that is normally on a card/tag attached to the server. If missing, contact HP for a re-issue (they will want serial numbers and purchase details).
If was never on system, good chance the servers were not optioned for iLO.
