how to shut down napp it VM in esxi?

I have installed Napp It All in One as a VM in esxi. VMtools installed. but I cant seem to shut down the VM. It does not seem to shut down like a windows VM, but goes back to the boot menu.
Any special settings I missed or thats the way it is ?

'shutdown -h now' or 'shutdown -g 30 now' First will be immediate and second will give 30 second logout/get out of whatever you're doing grace time. If it has tools and gets to the reboot just go ahead and shut it off. Not gonna hurt anything.

Within napp-it shutdown is in menu System >> shutdown.
The according CLI command is init 5

This ends in a power off state from OmniOS view
If it restarts then, you must check ESXi
