Home Office vs "Garden Office" quality of life

Based in the UK so things like basement don't apply.

Long story but in short had a shed with power and insulation but big cedar tree dropped needles on it that caused the roof to rot. It's probably beyond economical repair and stopped using it as prime homelab location etc.

I can see why having a space that isn't commonly used family space for home lab etc but I also think about work/life demarcation. When parent is in the garden office, they are not to be disturbed etc.

I've an opportunity to get a better shed/garden office but I need to build a case for it. Hence this post.
