Although we're talking about SAS here, anyone looking for SATA Ultrastar deals might find helpful this description of their features by part number: https://documents.westerndigital.co...h-brief-western-digital-power-disable-pin.pdf. Does not cover the newest drives, but most that are available used. In particular, this tells you which part numbers have the power disable feature, which cannot be determined solely based on model number.
