a regular seller of mine is about to dispose quite of lot of the HPE Smart Array E208i-p Controllers.
I'm using the E208i-p in a lot of servers for providing the ESXi RAID 1 local datastore by now, the Gen10 has excellent compatibility with non-HPE servers and works well in both whiteboxes and even other OEM servers (tested w/ Dell & Lenovo). As with upgrading to ESXi 7 a lot of cheap RAID1 "dumb" RAID controllers vanished, this is your opportunity for an inexpensive replacement.
My contact offered me the pulls at €60 ppcs, by far the cheapest price I've seen on any platform to date.
