Got tired of waiting for a cheaper 2.5Gbit POE+ switch to appear that could power 3 POE+ APs.

Ubiquiti just dropped the U7 pro wall which is exactly what I had been waiting for so guess I am going with their Ent 8 switch and 3 new U7 Pro wall APs.

Only slightly bummed the U7 pro wall doesn't have a built in switch but the price is reasonable and so are the specs.

POE+ at 22W each, none of the cheap POE 2.5Gbit switch will deliver 66W, the ent 8 will do it with power to spare for some POE cameras as well. The Ent 8 isn't cheap but it fits my power and size requirements as well as port counts.

Edit: Complete requirements as I am getting random suggestions

Minimum port counts:
2x 10Gig SFP+
8x 2.5Gbe

Power:
POE+ with total power capable of 3 POE+ (22W) devices and at least 2 more POE (15W) devices total 96W min.

Features:
Managed / vLAN support with LACP/trunk support

To be far I didn't put ALL of my requirements in the post as I have in other posts, I have edited the title to be clear I was looking for a managed switch.

8x 2.5Gbe

Some of the switches like the Hasivo one I bought last year used to be delivered with 130W PSUs and asking about it made them include it in my order. :) It's true that most of them now include a 65W PSU though, despite the PoE circuitry supporting more.

I only has 5 * 2.5G and 2 * 10G ports though, so it wouldn't suit you anyway. :)

Ya I have looked at those options, and there is a TP-link one listed for months but is not available anywhere.

following the Hasivo thread about power I really wondered about reliability.

I have already ordered the UniFi switch.

probably means Monday alternatives will drop lol.

Reliability is always hard to estimate. Mine has been running well since September last year, but that's only a single data point and doesn't really say much. :) If I were to guess, quality control of these lower cost brands is probably less consistent than larger brands but we don't have any quantitative data.

In my case, these simply wasn't any other switch else available with the same specifications and feature set. :)

Looks like you got an okay deal for a managed 2.5G PoE switch.
TP-Link competes well IMO and that 10G PoE++ is downright drool worthy for big WiFi 7 APs.

TP-Link Omada SG3218XP-M2 | 16 Port Managed 2.5G PoE Switch, Port, 8 2.5G PoE+ Port@240W, 2 x 10G SFP+ $499.99

TP-Link TL-SX3206HPP | 6 Port Managed 10G PoE Switch | 4 PoE++ 10G Port @200W, 2 x 10G SFP+ Slots $529.99

To bad you need managed though - LOTS - of cheap (sub $100) PoE 2.5G switches and even a $150ish 8 port 10G PoE switch!

Another nice thing about "not" Unifi - no mandatory software controller. If you're already running Unifi though..

TP-Link Omada SG3218XP-M2 Is physically too big for my structured wire cabinet which is why I was looking for an 8 + 2 size unit. I had considered it for my little server rack located in another location but apparently the fan noise is really bad on that unit.

TP-Link TL-SX3206HPP Too few ports,

Managed is mandatory as I am running wireless vLANS.

The REAL option from TP-Link would be the SG2210XMP-M2 while it is LISTED with some suppliers it still doesn't exist in stock anywhere I looked.. SO I got tired of waiting.

My only thought is 22W for POE+ is a little light. I ran some Cisco wireless APs and they were pulling 25 to 26 watts. I am now running small and more Cisco APs to cover better with 5GHz.
