Just in case anyone interested in the N5, but do not want to order on Chinese website. You can pre-order it now for the low-low price (yes, I'm being sarcastic) of $247.88+tax on JONSBO store via NewEgg. Release Date: 11/16/2024. Also, that price is an intro price, it will probably go up after 10/27. It's a bit unwieldy for me.

Yea, the N5 price does sound more reasonable. But it's still too big for my taste. To me, I like the dimension of the Fanlong NAS-12 better. It's even smaller than JMCD case. I think it fit better for me because I have no need for dGPU or high performance CPU. I like to have power efficient CPU for NAS better.

I like the form factor on the Fanlong NAS-12 case. Drives on the bottom and MB on top.

There are not enough pictures to see the routing of cables. it looks like all of the power and data cables would be routed in the hole in front of the power supply to go bwtween the drive bays and the motherboard area.

There is not an easy way to get the real $$$ in cost and shipping from China.

Anyone actually have the Fanlong Case? Shipped from China it isn't much more than the Jonsbo from Newegg. I'm curious what the experience with it is?

I took the plunge and bought the Fanlong NAS-12. I'll post some pictures after I receive it and have it built.

I received the case. I actually bought two of them. It's a nice case. It would be the perfect case for my use if the SAS backplanes worked. I'm using a LSI 9300-8i and it doesn't recognize drives in the backplane. It's the same cables, controllers, and drives I was using in my Silverstone case with the Silverstone SAS backplane, so I know the parts are good.

I'll upload some photos if I can get them adjusted to fit the forum requirements.

Edit: It appears the backplanes are fine and I am having issues with my LSI card.
