please accept my condolences, there is special thread for such occasions
no its not necessarily means it is broken hardware, the same massge appears during frimware/driver incompatibility, you can read about it in thread i posted in first topic.

So what is your question? 4.3.7 firmware is perfectly compatible with 4.3.7 driver. If your device is dead, than you need to properly recycle it

First of all before i have upgraded firmware i got this message:

Code:
Error: Firmware file does not contain firmware for device 'fct0', part 'PA006041117'
to be clear this dell_iodrive_4.3.7-20200113.fff file from official website.

in order to proceed i unzip fff and replace [PA006046114] section with my part, didnt work so i tried to switch [PA006098115] section as well. both times firmware updated successfully completed, but after restart i still have the error.

i dont think so, no.

first of all at start it has 40 degrees and it goes smoothly up to 80 and then stop, just like xeon familty with no top on it.

second of all drivers is FINE, the device is DETECTED by fio-utils, i have upgraded and downgraded firmware three times at least with no issues at all.

i think there is something wrong with AHCI driver for AMD cpu units .. maybe it does work with intel based solution exclusively.

also i believe instance i got is one of the first revisions. it almost got no radiators on it.

This design is production version. The card consumes 10W in idle and similar to SAS controllers will overheat in several minutes without proper airflow

I repeat myself:
It's too hot, 80° is NOT GOOD.
Maybe this killed the chips forever.
please assist to make it work
Be creative (MAYBE you need to cool it down):

instead of repeating yourself you should read carefully what i said, the issue with driver under win 2019/2022, stop talking about temperature.

The temp is mostly fine, though it does start to throttle above 80C and will take itself offline shortly after that.
Drive needs 300LFM of airflow to maintain decent temps.
You may have flashed an improper firmware to it and shouldn't have had to change anything in the firmware files to flash a dell-branded card, as they used the same firmware files as the regular sandisk cards last I checked. It's usually only HP and IBM part#s that needed the manual work.
Put the card in a slot that has a full x8 set of pci-e lanes, it needs all 8 to function properly and cannot be used in a x1, x2, or x4 slot.

i got it worked finally.

cannot be used in a x1, x2, or x4 slot

it must be written in bold red as first asnwer before any investigation started.

p/s are you somehow related to some chia related discord channel?

p/p/s i have something to do with overheat no doubts on that, im not sure if it's safe enough to work on custom cooling. is there something ready to buy?

No, no chia for me, but I am in a few dozen discords.
There are no aftermarket cooling options that I'm aware of. Best option is to put a fan somewhere near it.
