I'm upgrading / reorganising my homelab, so I want to get rid of some stuff.
I'm selling an IBM X3850 X5 Server. It's a 4U, heavy-duty workhorse.
With its 1024GB (yes, 1TB) RAM, it is perfectly suited for all your In-memory database, Big Data or file storage experiments!
It is equipped with 4x Xeon E7-8870 CPUs (10C / 20T each) and has 40C / 80T in total.
Because they're the E7-8XXX versions, you can even connect another X3850 X5 via QPI! You can also additionally connect IBM MAX5 memory extension units for even more memory.
It has all the Enterprise features like (dual) redundant PSUs, integrated management unit / webinterface, RAID controller, etc.
Another notable feature is that the server is surprisingly quiet, even under full load for longer periods (can probably be placed in your living room without annoying everybody else)
Condition is good with the usual scratches and of course fully working. Can be tested either on pickup or delivery, I've got a Windows disk with Cinebench, etc.
Location: Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany
Shipping isn't really an option due to its weight (~40-50kg), personal pickup is preferred. I'm also willing to deliver the server in a limited distance of Darmstadt for petrol allowance.
I'm asking for 1000€
Can be paid either in cash on pickup or bank transfer upfront.
No warranty, no refunds, etc... As usual.
