Electricity prices as they relate to colocation expense

Found an interesting survey of electricity prices across the US. Seems like the Seattle-Tacoma area should have a competitive advantage for datacenter pricing given its very low electricity costs.

Interesting article, I don't know that much about US datacenter space more Asia Pacific.

Here in Singapore with our expensive electricity and high temp there is still a competitive datacenter sector that is growing more and more...

I guess things like latency to NYC stock exchange etc all have effects that distort pricing and demand. In the case of Singapore its central location lots of submarine cables passing through and stability of country both in terms of government and natural disaster topics.
